Pacific Missile Range Facility Awards 737.9 Million Base and Range Contract

LIHU’E, Kaua’i – The United States Navy has awarded a contract worth $52.9 million per year to Manu Kai, LLC to provide base and range operations support services for the Pacific Missile Range Facility. Manu Kai, LLC is a joint venture of Akimeka Technologies, LLC and ITT Systems.

Manu Kai received a one-year contract with nine one-year options. If all options are exercised, the total estimated value of the contract would be $737.9 million. “Manu Kai was the winner because they were the best-value offeror, including technical factors and price,” said Navy spokesman Jim Murray.

The contract is to provide services to support for the Pacific Missile Range Facility, ranging from building and grounds maintenance to high-tech assistance with the range’s missile testing and other military training. The Pacific Missile Range Facility is the world’s largest instrumented multi-environment range, capable of supporting surface, subsurface, air, and space operations simultaneously.
